The old saying goes that the devil is in the details, and it's hard to argue with that. Here at Deckard Design, we know how important the details are in life, so when we create well-known products, in an uncharted way, we make sure that their functionality is matched by exceptional design.

Being aware of the vast possibilities offered by full-color 3D printing technology, Deckard Design's team decided to find areas where the technology we developed would be applicable. Our attention was drawn to small objects that most people deal with on a daily basis, and to which no one usually pays much attention - ones that remain unnoticed not because they are unnecessary, but because their original form is well known to everyone, and thus 'trite'. Therefore, we decided to consider how to breathe a second life into:

• keychains
• dice, 
• clothing seals, 
• shoe decorations, 
• book calendar clasps.

Deckard Design began its history with keychains back in the early days, when we created keychains made using variously shaped steel plates, covered with a colorful 2.5D texture. This is how a whole series of beautiful and durable key rings were created. Thankfully, we didn't rest on our laurels, and when our warehouse was equipped with photopolymer 3D printers, we decided to take advantage of the new possibilities, and create key chains based on the innovative technology of full-color 3D printing. This resulted in completely new spatial realizations covered with colorful tactile textures.

Probably everyone is very familiar with this type of clasp. Most people associate it mainly with a simple, unimpressive latch, used for backpacks, bags, or leashes. Deckard decided to change the view of this inconspicuous yet useful item by creating its own custom clasps using full-color 3D printing technology. What distinguishes them most from their standard counterpart is the ability to place a custom design or graphic on their surface, such as a company logo, with a spatial tactile texture. In addition, thanks to the implemented technology, the user doesn't have to worry that the design will rub off or fade over time.

Deckard breaks with conventions and proves that 3D printing is not only about complex, single-figure realizations, but also about simple solids and shapes designed in a new way. With this in mind, the idea for a custom dice was born. Created through a combination of photopolymer 3D printing and spatial, colorful 2.5D texture, the cube is a perfect example of a well-known object, in a new edition. The perfectly reproduced geometry of the dice makes it fully functional, and the original design makes it much more interesting.

Clothing seals in their basic form are one of those things that almost no one pays attention to until they are pulled off at home after shopping. Usually made of cheap plastic, in an indistinguishable shape and color, their only function is to attach a tag or some other type of badge. Deckard has decided to change that, offering clothing brands that want to stand out, unique custom 3D seals, in any shape and spatial texture.

Few people pay attention to the appearance of a calendar. For most, what matters is mainly that it performs its uncomplicated but essential task of storing all kinds of records well. However, there are people for whom the calendar is a precious treasure, hiding a wealth of information, and an indispensable tool for daily work. It is with such people in mind that book calendar band decorations were created. As crazy as it sounds, there are people for whom this peculiar notebook, in addition to the mere fact that it simply has to be, it should still look nice. The task of creating such a clip for the Deckard Design turned out to be possible thanks to full-color 3D printing technology. Although the surface area of such an object is relatively small, it is quite enough to equip it with a stylish design with a striking convex texture.

Thanks to the efforts of our team, ordinary everyday items get a brand new, unprecedented design that is sure to make them no longer go unnoticed.
